Athletic Department Goals and Objectives:

It is our goal to provide both our men and women student athletes a well organized and administered program of athletic competition. Because of the mission of the college, this goal manifests itself in a way that is unique to the type of institution we seek to be. Through proper leadership and atmosphere, we have the opportunity to use athletics as a positive force in the lives of our students. Therefore, the following objectives have been adopted for our program.

 

The athletic program at Free Will Baptist Bible College will:

  • 1. Serve as a unifying force in creating and improving campus spirit and morale.
  • 2. Provide public relation services through ministry opportunities for team members.
  • 3. Reinforce and nurture positive character traits in team members.
  • 4. Instruct the college community as a whole by encouraging the defeated, being generous to rivals, and showing under all circumstances the courtesy that is an essential by-product of the Gospel.
  • 5. Provide quality instruction to enable team members to develop more fully their God given talents.
  • 6. Develop a sense of stewardship in the use of God given abilities.

In addition to the above stated institutional objectives, the athletic program also abides by the principles set forth by the National Christian College Athletic Association. This organization serves as an administrative vehicle in helping us to realize our program purposes. A handbook is published each year and is available in the Athletic Directors office.
