Biblical Studies

B.S. in Biblical Studies-General Christian Ministries (124 hours)

The program is designed to train ordained and lay preachers, Bible teachers, and lay leaders for ministry within and beyond the local church. The program will train a student to:

*Articulate a Biblical philosophy of church life and ministry.
*Minister effectively through teaching and/or preaching.
*Make broad and effective contributions to church life and growth.
*Possess the tools for personal spiritual growth and the ability to promote growth in others.

Requirements for the B.S. degree: 124 hours, with a C average (2.00 g.p.a.) overall and in each segment of the major.

(1) General Education, 42 hours:

CE 200 Christian Education in the Local Church, 3
MI 101 Local Church and World Missions, 2
PT 360 Christian Counseling, 3
Ministry Electives, 14 selected from any ministry area: PT, MI, YM, and CE (with at least 8 hours from courses at the 300 level or above)

(3) General Electives: 18 hours
